Diving Adventures

Visitors to the island of Gran Canaria are able to enjoy an enormous variety of landscapes as well as countless microclimates, which is why the island has become one of the world´s most attractive tourist destinations. It is on account of these characteristics that Gran Canaria has earned its epithet, namely "the miniature continent".

Not only does Gran Canaria offer a fantastic place to holiday, but it is ideal for diving. Canary Diving is located at Playa Taurito, south of the island. It offers some of the best diving in Europe. From great wrecks to excellent reef and wall dives, shore diving and diving from ribs. With an assortment of marine life which is a combination of Atlantic, Mediterranean and tropical - Gran Canaria has it all. Specific places like El Cabron or Pasito Blance reef will surprise you by the impressive abundance and variety of the marine life. Photo opportunities abound with wide angle and macro being recommended.

With an average water temperature of 23 degrees, diving becomes enjoyable all year round. Recommended exposure protection is 5mm for comfort. Our centre also hires out equipment for the duration of your time with us. We offer equipment from leading manufactures such as Scuba Pro, Mares and Cressi Sub. Dive sites Angel Wall and El Perchel- access by boat, 17m max. Two dive sites that run into each other and with the correct drift both can be experienced at the same time. Situated just 10 minutes from the dive centre, this site is a natural rock fall that swipes down to a sandy bottom, home to a large eel garden. Shoals of roncadors and sardine are closely watched by barracuda hanging in the blue only to be disturbed by the odd gulley jack darting in for lunch.

Angle shark and stargazers leave a tell tail outline in the sand and rays hide in the rocky crags under Angel Wall. The Alagranza- Mogan - access by boat, 19m max The wreck of the Alagranza is located off the harbour of Puerto Mogan and is only accessible by boat. The wreck lies in 18 meters of water and is teaming with life. Large groups of rocador gruts and barracuda can be seen along with sea bream and moray.
